Campus Principe di Napoli is located in Agerola, one of the enchanting pearls of the Amalfi Coast. The historical and cultural enchantment of the Amalfi Coast is the setting for the Principe di Napoli, which stands in the hamlet of San Lazzaro in the municipality of Agerola, on a belvedere overlooking the sea.Three hectares of parkland, the relationship between the greenery and the significant architecture of an important historical period, and the harmony of the landscape made up of avenues, paths and hairpin bends on views that recall the Mediterranean tradition, make a stay at the Campus an immersive experience in the history, culture and nature of these places.

Description and training objectives

Tourism and the food and wine sector represent a potential and an indispensable resource in the panorama of Italian excellence, characterised by close links between typical productions and local gastronomic traditions. The course is based on a transversal model of studies that brings together knowledge and operations from the fields of anthropology, sociology, geography, history, art, law, statistics, medicine, nutrition, agronomy, trade, economics and marketing. In particular, by promoting the transfer of methods and skills for interpreting tourism phenomena on the basis of the evolutions accompanying the food and wine sector, the course aims to provide the theoretical and practical skills suitable for carrying out design and enhancement of agri-food products with a view to territorial planning and promotion of Made in Italy, with particular regard to the food and wine heritage sector.

Graduates in Food and Wine Tourism will be experts able to work in the incoming and event management sector with high-profile professional tasks in the design, organisation and management of activities related to the food and wine sector. They will find preferential work outlets in agro-food production companies equipped with on-site reception facilities; in tour operators and travel agencies specialising in the design of food and wine and experiential tourist packages; in commercial activities in the Ho.Re.Ca. (Hotellerie-Restaurant-Café) sector. (Hotellerie-Restaurant-Catering) sector; at public bodies and bodies in the area connected with planning and territorial development; at tourist promotion offices. They will also find employment opportunities in the communication sector specialising in the travel experience and in consultancy and/or freelance activities.
